From PCC Insider--In an order issued last Thursday, the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) found that the 2011 competitive product prices announced recently by the U.S. Postal Service comply with statutory requirements. These prices will be implemented Jan. 2, 2011, as planned.
A host of new flat-rate product innovations also will be ushered in with the new prices for Priority Mail, Express Mail and other Shipping Services. Price adjustments to the Postal Service's competitive shipping products are made each January, which is a shipping industry standard practice.
A PRC order on market dominant product pricing for the Reply Rides Free and High Density/Saturation Incentives and the Move Update threshold change is still pending.
