(Alexandria, Va., August 12, 2015)li>Epicomm, the Association for Leaders in Print, Mail, Fulfillment, and Marketing Services, will present a series of three webinars to help companies fully utilize the U.S. Postal Service Mailer Scorecard. Webinars will be moderated by Epicomm Vice President/Postal and Member Relations Leo Raymond, and feature panelists Tammy Caserta, Director of Mailing & Digital Services, Think Patented, Miamisburg, Ohio, and Michael Patterson, Postal Logistics, Tri-Win Direct, Dallas, Texas.
The series includes sessions for Mailer Scorecard Beginners-Introduction and the basics (August 18); Intermediate users-Focus on Mail.dat (August 20); and Advanced users-Focus on Micro-Strategy Reports and defending yourself against errors (August 25). Each one-hour webinar begins at 1 p.m. Eastern Time. Topics covered during the series will include:
-
An overview of the Scorecard, what it contains, and how it can be accessed.
-
The more significant details of mail quality provided by the Scorecard and how those reflect a company's quality performance.
-
How to interpret the Scorecard so it can be used as a diagnostic tool to improve internal operations at your company.
-
How to use the mail.dat file and other reports.
-
How to use mail.dat information to research errors reported on the Scorecard.
-
What to do if the USPS assesses penalties.
"The Postal Service has developed the online Mailer Scorecard tool to provide mailers with immediate feedback about their mail quality performance," says Raymond, "but it is helpful only to those people who understand and can interpret it and other data effectively. Depending on where you are on the Mailer Scorecard learning curve, these webinars can help you get started with this useful service; learn how to use it to reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and avoid problems with the USPS; or hone your skills to get the best data available."
"These will be highly interactive webinars with the opportunity to present your own questions," he continues. "We strongly recommended that you log in to your own Scorecard site during the webinar to walk through the process yourself. A second screen/monitor or a second computer adjacent to the webinar computer will also be very helpful."
Mailer Scorecard webinar series registration is $25 per webinar session or $50 for the entire series of three sessions, for Epicomm members; non-member registration is $50 per session.
