In this article, we provide an update on the launch of the Intelligent Mail barcode (IMBC) as well as review opportunities for companies beyond just Full-Service IMBC postal discounts. After modest mailer adoption of Full-Service for May 18, many large mailers are now focused on November 29, when they will be rewarded with postal discounts for mailing under the Full-Service program. These mailers have leveraged the additional discounts of .3¢ (First-Class) and .1¢ (standard and flats) to partially justify adopting the Full-Service program.
