Gainesville, VA—The National Postal Forum (NPF), the premier educational venue for the mailing and shipping industry, is proud to announce Karen McCormick as its new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2025. McCormick will succeed Maureen Goodson, who stepped down on December 31, 2024, after an extraordinary career with NPF.


    Celebrating Karen McCormick’s Appointment
    Karen McCormick brings over 40 years of industry expertise and a passion for innovation to her new role. Having served as Government Relations Manager at the USPS Office of Inspector General, McCormick has been instrumental in fostering partnerships with key stakeholders. Her career includes leading the Smithsonian National Postal Museum’s “America’s Mailing Industry” exhibit and founding Fulfillment Express, a Boston-based mail service provider that served Fortune 1000 companies for over 25 years.


    Honoring Maureen Goodson’s Legacy
    Maureen Goodson’s nearly three-decade tenure with NPF has been defined by her transformative leadership and unwavering dedication. Serving as Executive Director since 2010, Goodson has fostered strong partnerships with USPS, expanded NPF’s educational offerings, and cemented the Forum as the leading event for industry professionals. While stepping down, Goodson will remain with NPF in a consultative role throughout 2025.


    Recognizing Michael Genick’s Service
    NPF also extends heartfelt gratitude to retiring Board Director Michael Genick, whose leadership and vision have significantly contributed to NPF’s success. Genick served as NPF Executive Director and COO from 1993-2010 before joining the Board of Directors. His dedication to advancing the mailing and shipping industry, combined with his deep operational expertise, has been invaluable.
