Postal Affairs Blog--Industry sources are reporting difficulties with USPS Performance Based Verification, specifically MERLIN profiles. This seems to be a ripple effect from the PostalOne! Release 25 implementation this past weekend. Some mailers are being advised by their Bulk Mail Entry personnel that the MERLIN database that governs the frequency of in-depth verifications was lost or damaged, and that MERLIN verification would need to be run on every mailing.
