Formscan, a worldwide leader in inspection and verification systems, has announced that effective January, 2010 it will begin operating in North America as it does in Europe under the name Inspectron.
Discussing the name change, Formscan Managing Director, John Harvey said â¬Å"The Inspectron name better represents the focus, direction and success of the company within the e-passport, secure documents and verification systems arena. The change in the European market occurred 2 years ago and as our global market expands it simply made sense to bring it all together under one name.â¬âÂ
Since 1976, Inspectron (formerly Formscan) has delivered tracking and verification systems for transactional mail, direct mail, secure printing and e-passport production facilities. Based in Frome, England, the company also has a North American location in Chelmsford, MA. Operating subsidiaries across the United States provide additional sales and support.
