A standalone solution, Review and Release automates and simplifies the process of removing specific files from a print stream before printing. Developed for in-plant print shops, print service providers (PSPs) or enterprises sending output to third-party providers, Review and Release makes it possible to examine and remove unwanted documents within a high-volume print stream before it goes to a production printer or inkjet press.
Locating documents within a print file that need to be removed from production for various reasons has traditionally been a highly manual and costly process. Often referred to as ‘holds and pulls’ it is a common production challenge for companies producing high-volume transactional documents. With Review and Release, users can selectively identify and put on hold documents that sit in the middle of a print file, saving unnecessary printing and reducing waste. Additional benefits include the elimination of costly manual work involved in searching for offending documents and reducing the risk of inaccurate communications being sent through the mailstream.
