DURHAM, NC - Dec. 16, 2011 - Bell and Howell today announced that President Leslie F. Stern has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Stern, 54, replaces George Marton, who is retiring from the company effective December 31, 2011.

According to Bell and Howell Chairman Gregory L. Segall, CEO of shareholder Versa Capital Management, LLC, "We are extremely grateful to George for his years of service, particularly in returning to Bell and Howell at a time of challenge and guiding the company so effectively. His leadership through the successful transition leaves the company well-positioned for the future, and we wish him the best in his years ahead."

Prior to joining Bell and Howell, Stern served as CEO of National Envelope and as CEO of Central Lewmar. He is based at the company's Durham, NC headquarters.
