It is with sadness that the mailing industry says goodbye to Frederic Wolff, who died on Friday morning after a long battle with lung cancer.

For the past 20 years, Fred was the Director of Marketing for MAIL, a competitive magazine to Mailing Systems Technology. According to Francis Ruggiero, Publisher of MAIL, Fred helped many industry vendors build their businesses and helped make MAILcom an industry success.

"Fred excelled at being a formidable competitor," said Ron Brent, Publisher of Mailing Systems Technology. "I will truly miss seeing him at the National Postal Forums and competing with him for advertising dollars. It is the greatest compliment one sales person can give to another sales person."

Fred was a devoted father to his son Philip, a loving husband to his wife Patrice, a good son and brother to his family, and a great friend to all who knew him. He was generous in many different ways, from building houses for Habitat for Humanity to helping others in their times of need. We will all greatly miss him.
