BCC Software, a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL company and a leading developer of high-performance solutions for professional mailers, announces that Executive Vice President Chris Lien has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA). The election represents the first time a Director seat has been given to a mailing industry vendor.
Lien accepted the honor during the MFSA Mid-Winter Executive Conference in La Quinta, CA, in January. "I look forward to this opportunity to contribute my best efforts to helping shape and amplify the already good work performed by this estimable organization," he said.
Active in the mailing industry for more than 15 years, Chris Lien joined BCC in 2007. Throughout his career he has maintained an active involvement in industry groups such as the Association for Postal Commerce, the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association, Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers, and IDEAlliance, where he currently serves as representative to the Mailers' Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC). He was recently named leader of MTAC's industry focus group for address accuracy. Lien holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
In late 2009, Lien assumed primary leadership duties at BCC. K. Jon Runstrom, the company's founder and current President, remains in an advisory role until his retirement in July 2010.
